Reiki - Energy Work

I weave Reiki and energy work into my Holistic Mentorship services for those who are interested. A session can be devoted entirely to Reiki, or energy work can be integrated organically with somatic practices, conversation, and other forms of exploration.

Reiki offers another way to explore your inner world, including areas where you may feel energetically blocked or called toward greater awareness and balance.

Reiki and Energy Based Body Work

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese energy-based practice that originated in the early 20th century with Mikao Usui. The word Reiki is often translated as “universal life energy.” In a Reiki session, the practitioner uses gentle touch or holds their hands just above the body, creating a quiet space for rest, awareness, and inward attention.

Reiki is often experienced as a deeply relaxing and nurturing practice. While the concept of subtle energy is understood differently across cultures and traditions, many people use Reiki as a way to cultivate greater body awareness, explore their inner experience, and reconnect with a sense of balance and wellbeing. It can also provide an opportunity to slow down and notice sensations, emotions, imagery, or other experiences that may arise when we turn our attention inward.

The Roots and Realms Reiki Experience

As a Level 3 Master Reiki Practitioner, trained through the Reiki Training Program in Seattle, Washington, I have a long-standing relationship with energy work and its many possibilities for supporting wellbeing and self-exploration.

I also incorporate a technique called Insight Reiki, an interactive form of Reiki that invites exploration of emotions and sensations held in the body. Depending on your interests and intentions, Reiki can be experienced as a quiet, restorative practice or as a more exploratory process of connecting with your body, emotions, and inner world.

If you are new to energy work, you may not notice anything dramatic at first—and that's completely okay. Reiki can simply be an opportunity to practice receiving nurture, developing greater body awareness, and becoming more attuned to subtle sensations and internal experiences. For some, this kind of exploration can open new perspectives and possibilities in unexpected ways.

I'm excited to share in that exploration with you.
