Counselling
My current therapeutic modality for mental health counselling is a blend of relational psychodynamic therapy and mindfulness-based somatic therapy. I currently offer Virtual or Walk & Talk sessions on a long or short term basis to clients in Australia. Read below for more information.

Theoretical Lens
I have an integrative approach to therapy using Relational Psychodynamic Therapy and Mindfulness-based Somatic therapy as well as a variety of other modalities depending on your current needs.
In Relational Psychodynamic Therapy we use dynamics within the therapeutic relationship to learn and grow. Throughout the process of therapy you can expect to explore emotions presently experienced in sessions, formative themes from childhood, core motivations/beliefs, internal parts, and client-directed solutions. I believe that approaching therapy this way can help you practice healthy boundaries, honest communication, and build other relational skills through the therapeutic bond.
I also integrate mindfulness practices, grounding exercises, and other forms of nervous system support through a trauma-informed lens. These tools can aid in your ability to regulate uncomfortable emotions and deepen your sense of self within the present moment.
Depending on your interests and if it is appropriate with your treatment goals, I offer walk and talk sessions using eco-therapy techniques to help foster a greater sense of self, presence, and embodiment through movement and the great outdoors. Read here for more about Walk & Talk sessions.
Sessions can be had on a long-term or short-term basis. For short-term support, I draw on somatic and mindfulness-based approaches to help clients regulate stress, build awareness, and develop practical tools they can use in everyday life. For longer-term work, I offer a more in-depth, relational approach that supports exploration of underlying patterns, emotional processing, and lasting change over time.

Clinical Framework
Clients seeking mental health counseling should note that while my services are relational and client-directed in nature, they are still operating from within a clinical mental health model and medically-based framework. This means we will complete a full intake and assessment at the start of our work together during which we will go over your symptoms, related mental health diagnosis, and treatment plan together. We may also complete periodic questionnaires to track your symptoms and measure your progress. Each session will be documented with your diagnosis and treatment plan in mind.
These protocols, along with others relevant to your treatment, are important when trying to address any adverse symptoms affecting your daily life. It is my hope when offering treatment in this way that you can experience a greater sense of clarity regarding your symptoms, see more measurable results, and feel a greater sense of wellness over time!
